Protocol of INTENTIONS Protocol of INTENTIONS that celebrate the Fundação Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul and the ____________________________________________, with the aim of promoting the international cooperation and exchanges on the academic, scientific, technical and cultural aspects, aimed at training, development and specialization of student, teaching and technical staff, as well as the institutional development.
FUNDAÇÃO UNIVERSIDADE FEDERAL DE MATO GROSSO DO SUL, a higher education institution, with juridical personality of public law, instituted in the terms of the Federal Law n.° 6.674, of July 05, 1979, located at Cidade Universitária, s/n, Campo Grande – MS, Brazil, CNPJ/MF number 15.461.510/0001-33, represented by the Rector, Professora CÉLIA MARIA SILVA CORREA OLIVEIRA, as appointed by Presidential Decree on November 07, 2008, published in the Brazilian Official Journal number 218, on November 10, 2008, and ____________________________________________, located at ____________________________________ ____________________________________________represented by its Rector, Professor _________________________________, following the laws that regulate the matter in the countries involved, resolve to sign this PROTOCOL OF INTENTIONS, hereafter called PROTOCOL, under the terms of the Brazilian Law 8.666, from June 21, 1993, the Brazilian Decree 6.170, from July 25, 2007, and all the other relevant laws, under the following clauses and conditions:
SECTION ONE: OBJECT This PROTOCOL is to establish cooperation and exchanges on the academic, scientific, technical and cultural levels, aiming the undergraduate and graduate studies, improvement and specialization of the academic students, teachers and technical staff as well as the institutional development.
SOLE PARAGRAPH: The cooperation sought by the parties will consist specifically:
I. develop joint research projects;
II. develop programs to carry out graduation studies or research;
III. promote exchange of the teaching, students and administrative staffs.
V. offer courses, seminars, symposia, etc, on which both institutions can participate;
VI. promote the exchange of bibliography, publications, etc, as well as the proper diffusion on the communication channels established.
SECTION TWO: The implementation of the activities The actions that may occur as a result of this PROTOCOL will have its implementation conditions, deadlines, specific responsibilities, job description, financial responsibilities and other conditions treated by means of specific agreements or other instruments, in accordance with current legislation.
Section three: DURATION This PROTOCOL shall take effect on the date the last signature is appended hereto and shall be valid for 12 (twelve) months. After this period, new agreement could be signed with the same objective, if the interest of participants.
SECTION FOUR: AMENDMENT AND TERMINATION This PROTOCOL may be amended at any time, and terminated by mutual understanding, or unilaterally, provided that the participant denounces in writing to the other participant with a minimum of sixty days, or immediately, in chances of fortuitous events, force majeure, or breach of any term conditions.
SOLE PARAGRAPH: The termination of this PROTOCOL shall not interrupt any activity in progress, and the activities already started must be developed normally until the end, as hereto established.
SECTION FIVE: COURT AND LITIGATION Litigations will be resolved by the court Foro da Justiça Federal, 1ª Subseção Judiciária de Mato Grosso do Sul – Campo Grande, waiving any other court, even if more privileged.
Thus, because they agree, sign this document in 03 (three) copies in Portuguese and in English, of equal content, for legal effect.
